East Fishkill man arrested two times in one week for drug possession

Wappinger, New York – New York State Police charged Larry J. Hoffman, age 23, of East Fishkill, New York, with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor and Criminal Possession of Marihuana 5th Degree, a Class B Misdemeanor.

On August 9, Troopers stopped the vehicle Hoffman was operating on Route 9 in the Town of Wappinger for an inadequate exhaust.  Following an investigation, it was discovered that Hoffman was in possession of approximately 26.6 grams of marihuana and a controlled substance.

Hoffman was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Criminal Possession of Marihuana 5th Degree.  He was directed to appear before the Town of Wappinger Court on August 27, 2015.

On August 10th, Hoffman was stopped at the intersection of Park Hill Drive and Shady Brook Lane for failing to utilize a directional signal and for speeding.  Troopers speaking with Hoffman observed a glassine envelope on the floor of the vehicle.  Subsequent investigation revealed that the envelope contained heroin.

Hoffman was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and issued appearance tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Wappinger Court on August 26, 2015.
