Marlboro man charged with drug possession

Fishkill, New York – On August 2, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Michael J. Alexander, 31 years old, of Marlboro, New York, for two counts of Criminal possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Troopers on patrol located a suspicious vehicle idling in the rear of the shopping center parking lot on Brockway Road.  When the Trooper passed the vehicle, he observed the driver who appeared to be sleeping behind the wheel.  The driver fled the parking area and was stopped on View Drive.  The vehicle’s operator and sole occupant, identified as Alexander, was arrested after an investigation revealed that he unlawfully possessed heroin and buprenorphine.

Alexander was issued an appearance ticket directing him to appear before the Town of Fishkill Court on August 19, 2015
