Connecticut man arrested for Driving While Intoxicated following Bear Mountain Bridge Road crash investigation

Cortlandt, New York – On August 2, 2015, New York State Police from Cortlandt arrested Wuillian M. Moran, 34 years old, of Stamford, Connecticut, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, following a three-car collision that occurred on Bear Mountain Bridge Road.

An investigation conducted by police revealed that Moran was operating a 2005 Chevy Equinox southbound on Bear Mountain Bridge Road when he crossed the double yellow lines and struck a 2008 Suzuki operated by 54-year-old William H. Vonhahsel of New Windsor, New York, head-on.  Moran then collide with a 2009 Toyota operated by 51-year-old Magdalena Sanchez of New Windsor, New York.  Subsequent investigation revealed that Moran was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Ms. Sanchez was transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Moran was also transported to Hudson Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Moran was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Cortlandt Court of August 14, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.

The State Police were assisted by the Westchester County Police Department.
