Three Men Arrested for Possessing Forged Credit Cards

PRESS RELEASE
Chatham, NY – On July 31st, 2015 at approximately 8 PM, State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 near the Taconic Interchange for multiple traffic violations.  While interviewing the driver it was discovered that the man had a suspended driver’s license and was also in possession of several forged credit cards. The driver was identified as Richard J. Marc, 34 of Brooklyn NY. The investigation also revealed that two passengers in the vehicle were also in possession of forged credit cards. The passengers were identified as Marland C.  David, 24 and Roland J. David, 30 of Brooklyn NY.  Troopers also discovered a credit card imprinting machine located in the vehicle.   All three men were transported and processed at SP Livingston and charged with the following:

Richard J. Marc of Brooklyn, NY was charged with:

  • Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Class D Felony
  • Possession of Forgery Devices, Class D Felony

Marc was arraigned at the Town of Chatham Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

Marland C. David of Brooklyn, NY was charged with:

  • Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Class D Felony
  • Possession of Forgery Devices, Class D Felony

David was arraigned at the Town of Chatham Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

Roland J David of Brooklyn, NY was charged with:

  • Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Class D Felony
  • Possession of Forgery Devices, Class D Felony
Roland David was arraigned at the Town of Chatham Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail or $60,000 bond.
