Kinderhook, New York – On July 27, 2015, New York State Police from the New Lebanon barracks arrested Michael A. Jennings, 39 years old, of Castleton, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Class D Felony and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.

Troopers stopped the vehicle Jennings was operating for speeding.  While interviewing Jennings, the Trooper noted clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Jennings was charged with Felony DWI when a criminal history revealed that he was previously convicted of DWI in 2010 and 2012.  He was additionally charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree  when troopers learned that his driving privileges were revoked due to alcohol related offenses.

Jennings provided a breath sample yielding a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.18%, more than two times the legal limit of intoxication.  He was arraigned before the Town of Kinderhook Court and released on his own recognizance.
