Driving While Intoxicated arrest and Cocaine possession get 3 Newburgh, NY people arrested

PRESS RELEASE

Cornwall, NY – On July 27, 2015 at approximately 1:05 a.m.,  State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for speeding.  On the initial approach, Troopers observed the driver and rear passenger switching seats.  The driver of the vehicle, Francisco Santiago, JR, 31 of Newburgh, NY was found to be intoxicated.  Additionally during the Troopers investigation, more than 100 grams of cocaine was located.  All subjects were transported and processed at SP Newburgh.

Francisco Santiago, JR, 31 of Newburgh, NY refused to submit to a breath test.  Santiago was charged with:

  • Driving While Intoxicated, Unclassified Misdemeanor
  • Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Class B Felony
  • Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree: Intent to Sell, Class B Felony

Santiago was arraigned at the Town of Cornwall Court and remanded to Orange County Jail with no bail.

Julio A. DaVila, 25 of Newburgh, NY was charged with:

  • Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Class B Felony
  • Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree: Intent to Sell, Class B Felony

DaVila was arraigned at the Town of Cornwall Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.

Reina M. Diaz Diaz, 29 of Newburgh, NY was charged with:

  • Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Class B Felony
  • Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree: Intent to Sell, Class B Felony

Diaz Diaz was arraigned at the Town of Cornwall Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.
