Red Hook – Zillah M Dykeman, 92, a longtime Red Hook resident, passed away on Saturday, July 25th, 2015 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck.

Born on June 12, 1923, in Carmel, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lester J. and Mary F. (O’Dell) Barrett. Zillah married Robert A. Dykeman and he predeceased her on March 20, 2003.

Zillah was a former active parishioner of the First Baptist Church in Rhinebeck.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, she is survived by her loving children;

Ronald (Bonnie) Davis of Pawling, NY, Rev. George (Deborah) Dykeman of Parkerville, KS, James (Jacqueline Fogarty) Dykeman of Saugerties, NY, Mary (Gerard) Segreti of Kingston, NY, and Donna (Brian Day) M. Withrow of Rhinebeck, NY, her siblings; Delmar Barrett of Stanfordville, NY, Georgia Dinge of Dover Plains, NY, and Thelma Barrett of Cooperstown, NY, along with 27 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. She is also survived by her close friend; Korreena Salerno and family of Germantown, NY.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by eight siblings; Clifford, Edward, Ruth, Stanley, Herbert, Raymond, Adeline Barrett, and Barbara Debyan.

Friends may call at 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY on Wednesday, July 29th, 2015 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY,  The Rev. Frank L. Cirone and the Rev. George Dykeman will officiate. Burial will be at St. John’s Reformed Church Cemetery, Red Hook.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Zillah’s memory to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Inc., 26345 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1263.
