On July 25, 2015, at about 8:40PM, New York State Troopers responded to a fatal motorcycle accident on Noxon Road, in the area of Vincent Road, in the Town of Lagrange.  State Police investigation indicated that Bobby E. Anderson, age 49 of Poughkeepsie, was traveling westbound on Noxon Road on a 2011 Honda motorcycle at an unsafe speed.  According to multiple witnesses, Anderson passed several vehicles at high speed in a no-passing zone.  He then lost control of his motorcycle which fell onto the roadway and started sliding with Anderson still on it.  The motorcycle traveled off Noxon Road and scraped a tree before coming to rest in a field next to a utility pole.  Anderson suffered massive internal injuries resulting from the motorcycle collision.  Two off-duty nurses from Westchester Medical Center who were traveling on Noxon Road stopped at the crash scene and performed CPR on Anderson.  He was later transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital by Lagrange Fire Department ambulance and died less than an hour later.

No other persons were involved in the crash.  It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drug use played a role in the accident.
