Dover, New York – On July 12, 2015, New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks arrested 29-year-old Alicia S. Scaperotti, and Jeremy J. Gamache, 33 years old, both of Dover, New York, for Criminal Possession of Marihuana 5th Degree and Unlawfully Growing Cannabis, both misdemeanors.

At 7:54 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to a 911 hang-up call at a residence located on Gobblers Knob Road in the Town of Dover. Upon arrival responding troopers subsequently found several potted marihuana plants growing inside and outside the residence. Gamache had fled on foot from the residence, but was later apprehended that same evening.

Pursuant to this investigation it was also discovered that a neighbor, Vincent Jones, 33 years old, attempted to conceal physical evidence by taking a few of the marihuana plants from the suspects’ property. Jones was subsequently arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Class E Felony, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.

Gamache and Scaperotti were arraigned before the Town of Dover Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond. Both are scheduled to reappear at the Town of Dover Court at a later date.

Jones was issued an appearance ticket directing him to appear before the Town of Dover Court on July 30, 2015.
