Pleasant Valley man arrested following domestic dispute

Pleasant Valley, New York – On July 12, 2015, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Shawn B. Springsteen, 50 years old, of Pleasant Valley, New York, for Aggravated Family Offense, a Class E Felony, and Menacing 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched to a Pleasant Valley residence for a Domestic Disturbance.  Upon arrival, Troopers discovered that Springsteen had threatened the victim with a knife.  Springsteen was charged with Aggravated Family Offense when his criminal history revealed a previous family offense conviction from 2013.

Springsteen was arraigned before the Town of Pleasant Valley Justice Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.  He was scheduled to return to the Pleasant Valley Court on July 14, 2015.
