Jeffersonville man killed in motor vehicle accident.

On July 8, 2015, the New York State Police at SP Liberty investigated a one car, pedestrian motor vehicle accident on St-52 in Jeffersonville, in the Town of Callicoon, during which the pedestrian was killed.
The investigation determined that a 2012 Dodge Caliber was being operated eastbound on St-52, just east of Willie Ave, when a pedestrian, identified as Daniel Doherty, age 62 of Jeffersonville NY, entered the roadway in front of the Caliber and was struck by the vehicle. Doherty succumbed to his injuries as a result of the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation is on-going. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident or have information that could assist in the investigation are asked to call the state police at 845-292-6600.
