Two Men arrested for heroin, suboxone, and marijuana possession

PRESS RELEASEAlbany, NY – On June 30, 2015 at approximately 8:01 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for a traffic violation. Both occupants of the vehicle were interviewed and during the investigation, Troopers seized approximately 10 grams of heroin, one suboxone* film strip, approximately 2 grams of marijuana, and a metal spoon with heroin residue. The following individuals were arrested:
The driver, Christopher W. Faber, 28, Brandon, VT was charged with:
- Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree – Intent to Sell, Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 4th Degree, Class C Felony
- Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Class A Misdemeanor
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, Class A Misdemeanor
- Unlawful Possession Marijuana, Violation
The passenger, Jose E. Agosto, 26, Bronx, NY was charged with:
- Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree – Intent to Sell, Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 4th Degree, Class C Felony
- Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Class A Misdemeanor
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, Class A Misdemeanor
- Unlawful Possession Marijuana, Violation
Both subjects were arraigned at the City of Albany Court. Faber was remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or bond. Agosto was remanded to the Albany County Jail with no bail.
*Suboxone is used to treat opiate addiction, Schedule III Controlled Substance
