Monroe Man and Washingtonville Woman Arrested for Robbery

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police in Montgomery report the arrest of Joseph M. Selja, age 21 of Monroe, NY and Victoria R. Cintron, age 21 of Washingtonville for Robbery 2nd, a class C Felony.  Mr. Selja was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th, a class A Misdemeanor.

The investigation revealed that Mr. Selja and Ms. Cintron drove to the victim’s residence in the Town of New Windsor with plans to physically assault him and steal property.  The victim was injured and assaulted with a knife while outside of his residence.

Both were arraigned in the Town of New Windsor Court before Town Justice Thorpe and remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $5000.
