PRESS RELEASE

On June 29, 2015 the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Troop F – SP Kingston announce the arrest of ISAAC ALLRIDGE age 57 of Gibson, LA for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony.

On June 28, 2015 Troopers assigned to Troop T – New York State Thruway observed a suspicious vehicle illegally parked in a Department of Transportation owned lot near the Interstate 87 Exit 19 Toll Plaza in the Town of Ulster. Upon interviewing the occupants of the vehicle the Troopers observed a handgun in plain view on the floor board of the vehicle. Taken into custody at the time were ALLRIDGE, who was a passenger in the vehicle, and HAROLD JOHNSON age 54 also of Gibson, LA. ALLRIDGE and JOHNSON were taken into custody and further questioned by the Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation – SP Kingston. Investigation revealed that ALLRIDGE had acquired the handgun, a Charter Arms Corporation .38 caliber revolver while in Louisiana. The handgun was loaded at the time with five rounds of ammunition. ALLRIDGE did not possess a permit to possess the handgun in New York State or any other State. ALLRIDGE was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon – Loaded Firearm. JOHNSON was not charged with possessing the firearm but was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana a violation and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree a misdemeanor.

Both ALLRIDGE and JOHNSON were arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court. ALLRIDGE was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secure bond. JOHNSON was released on his own recognnizance.
