James Edward Pulver
(June 10, 1930 – June 20, 2015)

James Edward Pulver, 85, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Putnam Ridge, Brewster, NY.

A resident of Pawling, NY for a good part of his life, he was born in Patterson, NY on June 10, 1930 to Morgan and Ruth (Hyatt) Pulver. A Korean War Army veteran, he married the former Charlotte McMamee in St. John’s Church, Pawling in October 1950; she predeceased him in 2007.

Prior to his retirement, he was a conductor for NY Central Railroad, and later Penn Central.

He was a lifetime member of the BPOE in Cobleskill and a Charter member of the Brewster Elks, a lifetime member of the D.A.V. in Florida, and a member of the Cooperstown, NY V.F.W.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce (Joe) Lazarcheck of Pawling and Joan Hay of Brewster; two brothers, Morgan (Libby) of Tamarac, FL. and Frederick (Helen) of Oneonta; five grandchildren, Chuck Mulligan Jr, Jennifer Pollack, and Joe, Andrew, and Matthew Lazarcheck; five great-grandchildren, David, Blair, Anna, Chloe, and Emma; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Everett Pulver.

Services private, under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
