Maloney Announces Over $1.7 Million for Improvements for Stewart International Airport

Washington, DC – Today, Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) announced a $1,745,921 U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) investment at Stewart International Airport. The funds will be used to repave and rehabilitate Stewart Airport’s two runways.

“This major investment will immediately create jobs, rebuild our infrastructure, and grow our economy by attracting more flights and businesses to Orange County,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney. “Stewart Airport is a hub of economic activity for the region, and we must continue to make investments like this to support safe and reliable transportation in the Hudson Valley.”

Stewart Airport activity supports more than $750 million in annual economic activity and more than 5,500 jobs. Stewart International maintains 536,800 square feet of air cargo facilities which serves FedEx, UPS, USPS and the USDA.
