State Police Wurtsboro Arrest Wrong Way Driver for DWI

Wednesday June 17th, 2015 Wurtsboro Troopers arrested a Cooperstown man for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated  after driving the wrong way on ST-17 in the Town of Thompson.

Wurtsboro Troopers responded to a 911 call for a wrong way driver attempting to travel westbound in the eastbound land on ST-17 in the Town of Thompson.  Troopers were able to locate the vehicle operated by Keith Pearson, of Cooperstown, before any accident occurred. Upon investigation by Troopers it was determined that Pearson was highly intoxicated and arrested.  Pearson was transported to SP Wurtsboro where he was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle 1st along with numerous other vehicle and traffic violations.  Pearson’s BAC was .31% which is almost four times the legal limit.  Pearson was arraigned in Town of Mamakating Court and remanded to Sullivan County Jail.
