Highland woman charged with Felony Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs

Fishkill, New York – On June 17, 2015, New York State Police from the Wappinger Barracks arrested 32-year-old Robin A. Secor, of Highland, New York, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a Class E Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument, both Class A Misdemeanors.The Dutchess County 911 Center alerted area police units of an erratically operated vehicle last seen in the area of Route 9 and Church Street in the Village of Fishkill.  Troopers responded to assist the Village of Fishkill Police Department after they located and stopped the vehicle on Route 9.

While interviewing the driver who identified herself as Secor, officers observed clues that indicated she was impaired.  She was also found to possess heroin and hypodermic needles.

A Drug Recognition Expert evaluated Secor at SP Wappinger.

Secor was charged with Felony Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs due to a previous DWI related conviction within the last 10 years.

Secor was arraigned before the Village of Wappinger Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail over $10,000 bond.
