Taste of Country security guard arrested for assault

On 06/13/2015 The New York State Police at Catskill report the arrest of BRUCE D. BELFER, age 52, of West Allenhurst NJ for the charges of Assault 2nd degree (weapon), a class D Felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon a class A Misdemeanor.
BELFER was arrested after he was working as a security guard at the Taste of Country Music Festival located at Hunter Mountain and he allegedly kicked a 21 year old male in the face causing serious facial injuries. BELFER also allegedly struck the 21 year old male in the face with a blunt object.
BELFER was arraigned before Village of Tannersville Court, Justice Valcich and released on bail.
The Sate Police were assisted at the scene by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
