Connecticut man arrested for felony drug possession

PRESS RELEASE
New Lebanon, New York – On June 11, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Livingston barracks arrested Andrew W. Samson, age 26, of Enfield, Connecticut, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a Class B Felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.  Samson was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

Troopers stopped the vehicle Samson was operating on State Route 22 for a broken tail light.  While the Trooper was interviewing Samson, he observed an odor of marihuana emanating from the vehicle.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Samson, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was in possession of approximately 2.3 grams of lysergic acid diethylamide, or LSD, marihuana budder and marihuana.

Samson was arraigned before the Town of New Lebanon Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
