The New York State Police in Ellenville announce the arrest of Lawrence Morici, 61, of Kerhonkson, NY, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Misdemeanor, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a Misdemeanor, and Harassment 2nd, a Violation.
On Tuesday, June 2, 2015 Members of the New York State Police SP Ellenville barracks were dispatched to Ellenville hospital for a victim of a domestic abuse. Upon further investigation it was determined that Morici was having a physical domestic with his wife, at which time he threw her to the floor, placed his hands around her neck obstructing her breathing, all occurring in the presence of their six year old grandchild.
Morici was arraigned in the Town of Rochester Court before Town Justice Paul Shaheen who released Morici on his own recognizance and ordered Morici to return to the Town of Wawarsing Court on June 5, 2015 at 8:30am.
