News Alert: Pine Plains School Board Acknowledges Good Works
Dover Board of Education received the following note acknowledging the special graduation ceremony held by Mr. Doherty, HS Principal, for a student dealing with the impending death of his father.
Dear Fellow Board Members:
I’m writing on behalf of the Board of Education of the Pine Plains Central School District; the purpose of my note is to warmly acknowledge and to offer highest kudos to the character of the Dover School District with regards to the early Graduation ceremony for the Patnode family.
The very strongest educational lesson we can offer young people, especially those of character and community, is by example. Principal Doherty has provided that example at a most critical time. Well done!
We here in Pine Plains, were deeply touched by this act of kindness and wanted to acknowledge that to your Board.
