Car vs Motorcycle Fatal Accident

New York State Police at Catskill are currently investigating a head-on, car versus motorcycle fatal accident that occurred on Leeds-Athens Rd in the Town of Athens at approximately 8:19 am on Saturday May 23rd, 2015. As a result of the accident, the operator of the motorcycle, COREY HOAG, age 32, from Valatie, NY, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A 12 year old passenger on Hoag’s motorcycle was air lifted to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries. The three occupants in the car were uninjured during this incident. At this time the investigation is on-going. The New York State Police were assisted at the scene by the Leeds Fire Department, West Athens-Lime Street Fire Department, Catskill Ambulance, New York State Department of Environmental Conversation and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
