State Police Wurtsboro Arrest Liberty Woman on Drug Charges

PRESS RELEASE

On Sunday May 17th, 2015 Wurtsboro Troopers arrested a Liberty woman for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument.

Wurtsboro Troopers stopped to check on a suspicious vehicle parked in the Village of Wurtsboro late Sunday night. The vehicle only had a passenger in it and Troopers inquired about the operator.  During the interview the operator of the vehicle Amanda Miller, of Liberty, came from an unknown location walking toward the car.  Investigation into Miller determined she was the vehicle operator and was suspended.  Miller was searched and she had three hypodermic needles containing Heroin. Miller was arrested and transported to SP Wurtsboro where she was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, Possession of Hypodermic Instrument and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd.  Miller is due to appear in Town of Mamakating Court at a later date.
