State Police Wurtsboro Arrest Bloomingburg Man for Assault

On Friday May 8^th, 2015 Wurtsboro Troopers arrested a Bloomingburg man for Assault and Criminal Possession of a Weapon stemming from a domestic dispute.

Wurtsboro Troopers responded to Orange Regional Medical Center for a report of a female with injuries stemming from a domestic dispute that occurred in Bloomingburg.  Troopers interviewed the female who stated she was involved in a domestic dispute with her boyfriend Shane Burris, of Bloomingburg, which lead to her being assaulted.  Troopers investigated matter and located Burris.  Burris was arrested and transported to SP Wurtsboro where he was charged with Assault 3^rd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4^th and Criminal Contempt of Court 2^nd. Burris was arraigned in Town of Mamakating Court and remanded to Sullivan county Jail.
