Geraldine M. Lynch, a long-time former resident of Pawling and Carmel, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024 at Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Holmes, NY; she was 84.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James and Rose (Kelleher) Cates. She married Edwin Peter Lynch at St. Thomas Acquinas Church in Brooklyn on November 2, 1963; he predeceased her.
Before retiring, Geraldine was a benefits administrator at Union Carbide in Danbury, CT.
Geraldine was a member of St. James Alter Rosary Society and loved doing ceramics. But she especially loved feeding all the kids on Belden Road in Carmel.
She is survived by her two sons, Kevin and his wife Kristine of Pawling and Keith and his wife Michelle of Poughquag, and six grandchildren, Connor, Kayla, Ryan, & Alex and Kaitlyn & Erin.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 3rd at Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling from 5-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM at St. John’s Church, 39 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
