Drug Task Force K-9 Team Begins Training

The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force K-9 Team began a four week intensive
Narcotics Detection School today hosted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office. The Drug Task Force Agent
and his K-9 Denver will be trained and certified to detect narcotics, including Fentanyl, Heroin, Cocaine, Crack
Cocaine, and Methamphetamine.
Upon their completion of the school, Agents from the District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force, as well as
other law enforcement agencies, will have this K-9 Team as a resource to combat drug dealers bringing
dangerous drugs into our communities. Dutchess County is utilizing all available resources to prevent
senseless overdose deaths.
