Obituary, James S. Moore

James S. Moore, 80, an eight-year resident of Dover Plains, NY formerly of Hyde Park, NY, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at home with his loving family by his side. Mr. Moore was a therapy aide at the Wassaic Developmental Center in Wassaic, NY for 34 years.

Born on November 26, 1943, in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late John S. and Ruth (Becker) Moore. On November 10, 1965, in Ancram, NY, he married Beverly Stickle who survives at home. Mr. Moore enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Moore is survived by a son, Michael Moore, Sr. of Hyde Park, NY. He is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Plass of Hyde Park and Judy Simmons of Ogdensburg, NY; two grandchildren, Michael Moore, Jr. of Dover Plains and James Moore of Millbrook, NY and four great-grandchildren: Isabella, Bailey, Colton, and Brodie Moore.
