DCJ Incarcerated Individual Charged After Investigation
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Joseph G.Boccard, age 54 of Poughkeepsie, in connection with a recent investigation by both the Law Enforcement and Corrections Divisions. Mr. Boccard was incarcerated at the Dutchess County Jail at the time of both the incident and the arrest.
Mr. Boccard was arrested on 1/12/24 and is accused of possessing contraband in the form of an edged weapon. Mr. Boccard has been charged with promoting prison contraband in the 1st degree (felony), and is due to be arraigned before the City of Poughkeepsie Court on 1/25/24.
As with any criminal case the charge described above is merely an accusation and Mr. Boccard is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
