Erwin F. “Chuck” Green, Jr., 80, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT. Chuck was a locksmith at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY for 35 years retiring in 1997.
Born on May 24, 1943 in Belleville, IL, he was the son of the late Erwin F. Green, Sr. and Kathryn (Woodin) Green. On August 31, 1963 in Astoria, Queens he married Jean Sullivan who survives at home.
Chuck was a life member of J.H. Ketcham Hose Company, Dover Masonic Lodge and the Chestnut Ridge Rod and Gun Club. Chuck had a wonderful laugh, loved to socialize and be with his family and friends
In addition to his loving wife, Chuck is survived by a son, James Green and his wife, Lyn, of Odessa, FL and a daughter, Maureen Czarnecki and her husband, John, of Black Mountain, NC. He is also survived by a brother, Warren Green and his wife, Jan, of Providence, RI; three grandchildren, Joshua, Ethan and Jillian Green; two step-grandchildren, Alex Czarnecki and Victoria Czarnecki Hart and her husband, David and one step-great-granddaughter, Cecelia Hart.
