Yul Brynner, Jr., known as “Rock” to his family and friends, passed away Friday, Oct 13, 2023, in Salisbury, CT at the age of 76.
A long-time resident of Pawling, NY, he was born in New York City on December 23, 1946, and was the son of the late actor Yul Brynner and Virginia Gilmore.
Rock received his bachelors degree from Trinity College in Dublin and a doctorate from Columbia University.
Rock had many occupations over his lifetime; historian, professor, rambler, pilot, tour manager for The Band, and even at one time, Mohamed Ali’s bodyguard. His latest work was writing the history of New York Power authority, NYSEG, White Plains, NY.
He is survived by his family and many friends.
