Suspicious Vehicle Leads to Felony Dover   Drug Arrests

Dover, New York – On October 14, 2023, the New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks arrested Robert W. Beebe, age 47, of Dover, for Driving While under the influence of Drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor, and Shannan A. Mead, age 33, of Dover, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree with intent to sell, a class B felony.

At approximately 2:21 p.m. Troopers were dispatched to the area of Route 22 and North Nellie Hill Road for a suspicious vehicle.  A 2006 Volkswagen Jetta matching the description was located on North Nellie Hill Road.  Investigation determined the operator, Robert Beebe, was under the influence of drugs.  Shannan Mead was found to possess over 38 grams of crack-cocaine.

Robert Beebe was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket returnable to the town of Dover Court for November 13, 2023.

Shannan Mead was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Abrams of the town of Dover Court and released on her own recognizance.  She is scheduled to reappear before the court on October 16, 2023, at 4:00 p.m.
