Obituary, Karl Heinz Pentz

eysville, VA – Karl Heinz Pentz, Sr., 76, a sixteen year resident of Keysville, VA and formerly a longtime Millerton, NY resident died peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at his home in Keysville surrounded by his loving family. Karl had a long career with New York State as a plumber and steamfitter at the former Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY. He retired in November of 2002.

Born in Germany on May 9, 1947 he was the son of the late Julius and Helena Gayda Pentz. He was a graduate of Clam Lake Job Corp. Karl loved spending time outdoors; he was an avid hunter and fisherman and was an active member of the Millerton Gun Club. He was also a life member of the Millerton Fire Company. He really enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and he enjoyed family gatherings as well. He rarely if ever forgot a name and could tell stories and reminisce about days gone by for hours. He will be dearly missed by all.

Karl is survived by six children, Karl Pentz(Crystal), Tammy Pentz(Aaron), Amber Jordan(Brian), Kristen Maillet(Frank), Brittany Pentz(Dominick) and Alyssa Pentz; two brothers, Julius Pentz and Gunther Pentz; four sisters, Maria Huff, Brigitte Russell, Maggie Lindberg and Theresa Day; fourteen grandchildren, Christopher Pentz, Katie Pentz, Makayla Harris, Krista Roberts, Keith Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Thomas Burgess, Cole Jordan, Cooper Jordan, Alexis Gagnon, Lily Gagnon, Karl Maillet, Jamison Karstetter and Noah Pentz-Taczanowsky; ten great grandchildren, August Harris, Autumn Pentz, Kyliee Pentz, TJ Gouge, Landyn Gouge, Bailey Roberts, Waylon Roberts, Stormi Burgess, Cameron Burgess and Skyler Burgess and several nieces and nephews and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by two brothers, Andreas and Helmut Pentz.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 12pm to 1pm at 37 Park Avenue, Millerton, NY 12546. The Millerton Fire Company will conduct services at 12:45 pm. A funeral service will take place at 1pm. Pastor William Mayhew will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Millerton Fire Company, P.O.
