George G. Guerro 17, passed away Friday morning, September 29, 2023 as the result of an automobile accident.
A resident of Pawling, previously of Holmes, George was born in Sharon, CT on October 17, 2005 to Gerald J. Guerro of Pawling and the late Betsy (Erskine) Guerro.
A graduate of Pawling High School, he was attending Dutchess Community College.
George was a very hard worker and his smiling face could be seen at many local businesses including Tacos and Cones, The Dancing Bear, Quick Stop, Family Deli, and Eastern Hay Corporation all located in the Village of Pawling.
George had many hobbies and interests. He was an avid skier and member of the Mount Snow Devo Freestyle. He also enjoyed mountain biking on a team at Burr & Burton in Vermont. He played baseball and basketball for Pawling High School, and most recently enjoyed poker games. He was also an avid car enthusiast and NY Yankees fan.
In addition to his father, George is survived by his twin sister, Mia Ann Guerro, also of Pawling; his aunts, Debbie Guerro Galante and husband Jerry of Nesconset, NY, Marie Evans and husband Kenny of Somers, NY, and Aimee Erskine of Massachusetts; his uncle Andrew Erskine and wife Donna of Holmes, NJ; He had many loving cousins residing in NY, NJ, and Idaho, and many, many friends.
George will be greatly missed.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, October 4th from 3-7 PM at Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY with a Memorial Service at the funeral home at 6:30.
