Christina (“Sunshine”) enjoyed the outdoors, nature, and camping; she was always up for an adventure. Loving, big-hearted, compassionate, with a vibrant, rebellious (and sometimes mischievous) spirit that set her apart from the ordinary, Christina had a beaming, endless smile, bright eyes, and an infectious laughter that warmed and brightened the lives of all who knew her. From the moment she entered this world, she showed an unwavering resilience and indomitable spirit that would further her journey in life. But because of unlucky events and unhealthy attachments, her path was strewn with hurdles that would daunt many people, indeed; yet, she approached them with fierce determination, fought against every challenge and never succumbed to despair.
Christina held family above all else. She was generous with her love and support; she embraced each family member and friend with genuine affection and tenderness. Once given, her loyalty was boundless. She forgave quickly and practiced kindness.
In addition to her parents and stepfather Ted, Christina leaves behind her brothers Sean, Michael, Daniel and sister (“Sissy”) Jennifer; aunts and uncles; cousins; extended family, many friends, and her cat Babuz. She was predeceased by her adoring great grandparents Al and Ruth (Brandt) Foley, her grandma Ruth (Foley) Whiteman, and stepmother Donna.
Cremation was conducted by Sweet’s Funeral Home of Hyde Park, NY.
