Pawling Rotary Celebrating Autumn with the Annual Fall Fest on September 23rd at Lakeside

By Susan Stone

Pawling’s Rotary Club will host its annual community Fall Fest on September 23rd from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lathrop at Lakeside Park. An annual family event, this year’s Fest promises to be a fun-filled day of food, games, prizes, pony rides, and raffles. The Pawling Tiger bouncy house will make an appearance again this year, and a brand-new critter-filled petting zoo will make its debut! Face painting, pumpkin painting, a haze maze, and balloon magic will be just some of the activities planned. Once again, the largest pumpkin east of the Mississippi will greet one and all and will be available for that perfect family picture-taking opportunity. Tickets for the ever-popular Cow Chip Bingo will be available for sale ahead of this event, and any tickets still unsold will be available for purchase at the Welcome Tent. The winning ticket holder will win a substantial cash prize.

The Rotary annual Fall Fest is the second annual fund-raising event for the Pawling club. Last year’s Fest was attended by more than 600 community members, with proceeds donated to organizations in Pawling that support community youngsters. Rotary grants benefit the Smith Johnson Scout Cabin, the Pawling Resource Center and its family outreach programs, the Pawling Free Library’s children’s and teens’ programs, Pawling Recreation’s camp and after-school programs for children in need, the Interact Club, the Ty Lewis Campbell and Ryan McElroy foundations, the Pawling Fire Department, and Blue Path Service Dogs, aiding children with autism. Additionally, community support for this event assists with the club’s annual donation to the Rotary Foundation and its initiatives dedicated to the worldwide eradication of polio and to providing surgery to children with cleft lip and palate conditions, as well as Shelter Box, providing temporary shelter to families displaced due to natural and man-made global disasters.

Event sponsorship opportunities are available and will be rewarded with company names and logos prominently displayed for all to see! Contact pawlingrotaryclub@gmail with inquiries.
