Robert Francis Simmons III passed away Friday, June 30. 2023 in Amenia, NY as a result of a motorcycle accident.
A resident of Pawling. NY for 6 years, and previously from Poughkeepsie, NY he was born in Carmel. NY on November 5, 1972 and was the son of the late Robert F. Simmons, Jr and Edith (Mahoney) Simmons of Pawling.
Bob worked as a freelance fencer and tree climber in the area.
He was an avid motorcyclist and loved outdoor activities such as swimming, camping, and bike riding.
In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by two sons, Robert Simmons of Connecticut and Jaxon Duncan of Hyde Park; two sisters. Loretta Lashomb of Wingdale and Michelle Simmons of Poughkeepsie; four nephews, Christopher and Dylan Lashomb of Wingdale, Charlie Brazee of Pawling, and William Giglio; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 26. 2023 from 12-5 PM with a service at 2 PM at the American Legion Post 1949, Roite22, Wingdale, NY.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
