.WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING…

* WHAT…Heavy wet snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 8 to
12 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph at
times.

* WHERE…The Mid-Hudson Valley and northern Herkimer County in
eastern New York and southern Litchfield County in Connecticut.
* WHEN…From Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening
commutes. Snowfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour are
possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…This has the potential to be a long
duration and high-impact snow event. Due to uncertainty on
precipitation type and the exact storm track, a Winter Storm
Watch remains in effect for these areas.
