Obituary, Edith Ann Frisina

Edith Ann Frisina was born in the Bronx on August 23, 1932, and raised by her mother Angela Bernabei along with sisters Elaine and Angie.  She attended Evander Child high school in the Bronx.  She was exceptional at shorthand and typing and worked in a bookkeeping office in Manhattan after high school.  At this time, she met her future husband Vincent (Vinnie) Frisina. They married on September 18, 1954 and had two children, Vincent Junior and Charles.  They raised their family in the Bronx for 17 years.

In 1971, they moved from the Bronx to Jacksonville Florida, relocating for Vinnie’s work at Roux Labs.  She enjoyed the many visits from her Northern family spending time with them at the local beaches.  Edith worked as a Weight Watcher lecturer during her years in Florida.

In 1978, when Vinnie’s employer sold, they changed careers.  They purchased and ran a successful bakery in Hopewell Junction, NY, with her sister Angie and her husband Louie Paesano.  Edith was known as the “Cookie Lady” around town for the many cookies she gave out to children when they visited the store.  They lived in Stormville for 41 years, well into their retirement.  Recently they relocated to Millbrook, NY to live with their son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Lee.

Edith was predeceased by her grandsons Nicholas and Charles Junior, daughter-in-law Donna, and sister Angie Paesano. She is survived by husband of 68 years, Vincent, sister Elaine D’Andrea, son Vincent Junior, his wife Jennifer, son Charles, his wife Lee, grandchildren David, Christopher, Jessica, Cara, Foord, Ella, and great grandchildren Ella, Jackson, Jesse, Josiah, Eli, and many nieces and nephews.
