Obituary, Michael R. Bryant, Sr.

Michael R. Bryant, Sr., a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mr. Bryant owned and operated Fences Unlimited in Dover Plains. Born on April 28, 1950 in Milo, ME he was the son of the late Cecil and Pauline (Martin) Bryant. On July 10, 1980 in Sharon, CT, he married Sandra Balleau who predeceased him on September 25, 2020. Mr. Bryant enjoyed western music and Elvis Presley. He sang Elvis covers throughout the area including the Dutchess County Fair. In his free time, Mr. Bryant often watched One News Station (ONS). He was a man of faith, often reading the bible, and was a member of Greater Grace Church in Dover Plains. Mr. Bryant is survived by a daughter, Robin Bissonette and her husband, Alan, of Dover Plains, NY and two sons, William “Bill” Savage of Georgia and Michael R. Bryant, Jr. of Pleasant Valley, NY. He is also survived by two sisters, Betty McQuarrie of New Hampshire and Diane Lee of Maine. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Mason Savage, Samantha Porter, Gennie Bryant, Shelby and Lauren Bissonette, Chelsea Bryant and Alyssa Fuchek; seven great-grandchildren: Jayden, Braelynn and Serenity Fuchek, Lacy Powell, Winter Clokey, Aryanna Biscoglio and Axyl Earley and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Graveside services and burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Valley View Cemetery, S. Nellie Hill Road, Dover Plains, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Greater Grace Church, P.O.
