Born on July 10, 1933 in Ellenburg Center, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen (Dodge) Lavallee. Mr. Lavallee proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. On November 23, 1959 in Plattsburgh, NY, he married Sara Lee (Sally) Honsinger who survives at home.
Mr. Lavallee was a member of the American Legion Post #1949 in Wingdale, NY and the Harlem Valley Golf Club. He was a former member of the Ellenburg Fire Department. Mr. Lavallee was also a member of Lyall Memorial Federated Church in Millbrook.
In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Lavallee is survived by two daughters, Ivy Lee Odell and her husband, Sean, of Dover Plains and Amy Lee Scala and her husband, Gregory, of Haymarket, VA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Tessa Setaro of Dover Plains, NY, Lauren Muncey and her husband, James, of Vero Beach, FL, Lindsey Odell of Millerton, NY, Len Lavallee and his wife, Ann, of Fort Lee, NJ and Jennifer Miltenberger and her husband, Kenny, of Washington, DC; two great grandchildren, Luca and Ella Setaro and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lyn Marie Lavallee and a sister, Shirley Tourville.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy Wagner officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
