Roger (Reb) Thornton Powell, of Millbrook New York, went home to be with The Lord on June 5, 2022. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at (Heart of Georgia) Hospice in Perry, Georgia. Reb was born on August 6, 1931, in Craigsville, Virginia. He was one of 5 children of the late Thomas and Emily Powell. He is predeceased by his brothers Austin Powell and Alvin Powell, and sister Edna Powell Cook. Reb married the love of his life, Pauline Carrubba on June 12, 1955, and shared 67 years together, with whom he had 3 daughters – Grace, Paula, and Tia. Reb is survived by his wife Pauline, their three daughters, and his brother Thomas Powell, along with four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to say their farewells and celebrate Reb’s life on July 7, 2022 from 5-7pm at the Millbrook Fire House, Millbrook, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Millbrook Fire Department.
