Kinderhook man arrested for rape of child

Stuyvesant,  New York – On May 5, 2022, the New York State Police in conjunction with the Columbia County Child Advocacy Center arrested Misael Chun Pastor,  age 36, of Kinderhook, NY, for Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child in the 1st degree,  a class A-II felony,  five counts of Rape in the 1st degree,  Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the 1st degree, all B felonies, and Sexual Abuse in the 1st degree, a class D felony.
After receiving a law enforcement tip on yesterday’s date, investigation determined Chun Pastor sexually assaulted a child under the age of thirteen-years-old on multiple occasions.  State Police personnel began searching for Chun Pastor last night in the Kinderhook and Chatham areas. He was subsequently located and arrested earlier today.
Chun Pastor was arraigned before the town of Stuyvesant Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail. He is next scheduled to appear before the court on May 11, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.
