Two Men Arrested for Hyde Park Home Invasion

On April 12, 2022, at approximately 10:23pm, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting a home invasion on Lyons Drive in the Town of Hyde Park.
Sheriff Kirk A. Imperati said, “As a result of strong teamwork by the responding police agencies, two male suspects were immediately taken into custody at the scene of the incident. I want to assure the public that this was not a random act of violence.”
The investigation resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Selburn A. Ridley Jr of Poughkeepsie, NY and 28-year-old Anthony G. Guillen of Poughkeepsie, NY. Sheriff’s Office Detectives charged both men with Burglary in the Second Degree (class C felony). They were arraigned in the Town of Hyde Park Justice Court and were both remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail / $500,000 bond.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Town of Hyde Park Police, City of Poughkeepsie Police, Town of Poughkeepsie Police, Dutchess County Drug Task Force, Dutchess County 911, and the New York State Police.
As with any criminal case, the charge described above is merely an accusation and the subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
