The Orange County Child Abuse Unit announces the arrest of Cormega Berkley, age 21, from the city of Newburgh.  The New York State Police working in conjunction with Orange County Child Protective Services conducted a joint investigation into allegations Berkley had engaged in Sexual contact with a child less than eleven years old.  The investigation led to the arrest of Berkley on Monday, April 4th, 2022.  He was charged with Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, a B Felony.  Berkley was subsequently arraigned in the Town of Newburgh Court before the Honorable Judge Martini then remanded to Orange County Jail.
