Robert R. Butts, 61, a longtime resident of Amenia, NY, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Northern Riverview Rehabilitation Center in Haverstraw, NY. Mr. Butts was a maintenance man at Kent School in Kent, CT and later Maplebrook School in Amenia.
Born on August 22, 1960 in Sharon, CT, he was the son of the late William F. and Marilyn (Murtaugh) Butts. Mr. Butts was an avid fisherman and enjoyed assembling models and working on motors.
Mr. Butts is survived by his companion, June Connelly, of Poughkeepsie and two sisters, Robin Poetzsch of Jensen Beach, FL and Linda Butts of Amenia. In addition to his parents, Mr. Butts was predeceased by a brother William Butts.
