County Hosts Successful Supply Drive for Ukraine

Thank you to all who supported Dutchess County’s successful supply drive, held in partnership with the AFYA Foundation, to help those affected by the invasion in Ukraine. Thousands of supply items were collected at the former JCPenny at the Poughkeepsie Galleria as well as at donation boxes located at the four Dutchess County DMVs. In total, 36 large pallets of goods were donated! Click the collage below to view a video of the supplies being packed today to be shipped.

Thank you to the Dutchess County Departments of Emergency Response and Behavioral and Community Health for coordinating this effort. We are especially grateful to the dedicated volunteers of the Medical Reserve Corps of Dutchess County for their efficient collection, sort and pack of all of the donations, Arnoff Moving & Storage for donating hundreds of shipping boxes, Dutchess County Clerk Brad Kendall for setting up collection boxes at the County’s four DMV offices, and McCollister’s for providing a truck to deliver donations to AFYA’s main collection site to be shipped and dispersed to Ukraine.
