Two teens arrested for burglary of Mobil on the Go

Greenport, New York – On March 25, 2022, the New York State Police arrested a sixteen and a seventeen-year-old for Burglary in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree, and Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, both class E felonies.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., Troopers were dispatched to the ‘Mobil on the Go’ on Fairview Avenue in the town of Greenport for a report of a burglary, but found the suspects had fled prior to their arrival. Investigators of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation with the assistance of the Troop K Bloodhound team located and arrested the two teens nearby.

Both teens were turned over to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office for additional ongoing criminal investigations.
