Shirley L. Vincent, 84, a lifelong resident of Dover Plains, died on Friday, March 25, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Vincent was a laundry supervisor at Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY for 34 years retiring in 1992.
Born on September 13, 1937 in Sharon, CT, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Minnie Dennis. On November 24, 1957, in Dover Plains, NY, she married Elmer Vincent who died on December 17, 1997.
Mrs. Vincent is survived by her son, Thomas Vincent of Dover Plains, NY; two brothers, Malvin Dennis and Samuel Dennis and two sisters, Mary Niederkorn of Dover Plains, NY and Linda Camburn of Amenia, NY; two grandchildren, Preston Vincent and Cayleigh Vincent and two great grandsons, Colton and Braxton Potter.
There will be no calling hours. Graveside services and burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Valley View Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY.
