Obituary, Norman Howard Heftye

Norman Howard Heftye, 95,a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Putnam Ridge in Brewster, NY. Mr. Heftye was a lithographer and member of the Amalgamated Lithographers Union: Local One-L in New York, NY. He worked at St. Johns Associates in New York City.

Born on April 15, 1926 in Lynn, MA he was the son of the late Ole an Eldora (Pinkham) Heftye. Mr. Heftye proudly served in the US Air Force during World War II. On January 7, 1950 in the Bronx he married Carmela Rotolo who survives at home.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Heftye is survived by three daughters, Deborah Cooperman and her husband, Michael, of Riverdale, NY, Mary Ann Bannon and husband, Douglas, of Bronx, NY and Jeannette Bonanno of Brewster, NY. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Arthur Cooperman, Vincent Luke Bonanno and Jenna Rosina Bonanno and her husband, Kevin Turnyanszki.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022, at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 101 Mill St., Putnam Valley, NY.
